'This is the place' documents a place of progress and change in the vibrant city of Manchester. Beautiful old mills hint at the textile and print industries of the past while standing proudly amid the glass and steel of the evolving city skyline.
Whether looking at street level, the urban art of the Northern Quarter or up to the sky where the cranes remind us that change is on the way. It may rain in Manchester but its never dull.
The collage is initially created by adding layers of maps, text, fabric to canvas. A digital print is then created using original photography and transferred by hand onto the collage using gel transfer and embellished with gold leaf making it a unique piece.
